The Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club recently opened their brand new 88,000 sq. ft. facility just off of Wedington Drive on Rupple Road in Fayetteville. The facility features classrooms, gyms with wood floors, a leisure pool, arts & crafts rooms, teaching kitchen, climbing wall, fitness area, learning centers and more. In addition to their indoor space, they offer two grass playing fields that include lighting, bleachers, ample parking and a perimeter walking trail. The Jones Center For Families is located just north of Fayetteville in Springdale, Arkansas. The Center provides a wide variety of resources, activities and events, including a gymnasium, ice arena and swimming pool. Programs and activities vary throughout the year at the center. Lokomotion Family Fun Center is located just north of the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville. This facility offers indoor as well as outdoor fun for the entire family. Lokomotion has go karts, arcade games, laser tag, miniature golf and bumber boats. If you are looking to have a birthday party or a family gathering, Lokomotion will be able to accommodate you. smARTsummer Camps
The Walton Arts Center offers smARTsummer programs which are fun, educational summer activities for children 4 years old and up. This summer will feature 4 weeks of half and full day performing arts camps. The programs are led by professional artists and educators and focus on performing arts and the skills that artists use to produce great works like those showcased in the Walton Arts Center Season. Outdoor Activities
There are many venues offering outdoor activities for children of all ages. Depending on your preference of fun, Fayetteville has something to offer for everyone.
Fayetteville has 45 parks spread throughout the area for picnics, walking, family get-togethers and more.
Local playgrounds include Bundrick Park, Davis Park, Gordon Long, Greathouse, Gulley Park, Hotz Park, Lake Fayetteville Softball Complex, Red Oak Park, Sweetbriar Park, Veterans, Walker Park and Wilson Park.
Recreational sports available through the Boys & Girls Club include basketball, flag football, karate, table tennis, volleyball, cheerleading, dance, gymnastics and swimming lessons.
Programs available through the Parks and Recreation include: baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer, softball, volleyball, swimming and other special activities.
