Event Description: Our monthly Government Relations committee meeting will take place Friday, July 13 (opposed to July 6) due to the proximity of the 4th of July holiday. The meeting will still take place at noon here at the Fayetteville Chamber. Our invited guest speaker for the month is Mr. Mike Abbiatti, Executive Director, for the Arkansas Research and Education Optical Network (ARE-ON). ARE-ON is a higher education entity whose mission is to promote, develop, and apply advanced communications technologies and applications to support, enhance, and elevate education, research, healthcare, public service and economic development throughout the State of Arkansas via high speed connections to two year and four year institutions of higher education.
